BOTHO ART COLLECTIVE (“BAC”) Announces Its Inaugural International Artist-Led Fair

WHAT: Botho Art Collective (“BAC”) announces the launch of an innovative and transformative artist-led art fair that bridges the gap between traditional art markets. BOTHO, is a SeSotho word originating from South Africa, which means, “I am because you are”. It is in this spirit of unity and pride that BAC seeks to affirm other artists who have historically and systemically been disconnected. Through seamless collaborations, BAC is a connector of artists globally.

The inaugural BAC artists include Nelson Makamo, Cristina Martinez, Lebohang Kganye, Bahati Simoens, Trevor Stuurman, Corey Pemberton, Brandon Deener, Ambrose Murray, Mbali Dhlamini & Maya Seas.

BAC Founders include, Jac Forbes, an esteemed Gallerist and Managing Director, Matsela Moshokoa, Artists Manager and Creative Director and internationally renowned visual artist, Nelson Makamo.
